Context and Goal
 
Lab 21 is a hyper-space for learning, sharing, and innovating and is applied in the context of cultural transformation processes. A group of 16 managing directors and team leaders across sectors and disciplines participated in the Premiere Event in 2019. The goal of this cross-organisational, cross-cultural, and cross-disciplinary learning experience was to support participants in leveraging their power of imagination to invent new ways of working. 
 
The Method
 
This workshop was designed with the 2CG® method and implemented together with the German puppet player Christian Pfuetze in a small theatre in Vienna. Workshop participants received inspirational input from the arts and guidance from the facilitators so that they could leverage their power of imagination and move beyond their current mental models.
 
Participants had enormous difficulty envisioning new and remote ways of working that included collaboration with machines. Workshop results proved that managers and team leaders could come up with inspiring ideas and concrete action steps in a short time thanks to inspirational input from the arts.
